Actually, I believe the Dems have being running things the last two years. And have done their share of screwing crap up. But, I'll overlook that.

What I can't understand is how you can seek to place a man in the top position of OUR country, when his friends HATE our country. Nothing like running wild with the domestic terrorist and the damning preacher. His own wife brags that she's never been proud of America until now.

There's a reason the head of Islam refers to BO as the messiah - and it's not a good one, unless you like the idea of a truly CHANGED United States

Tracee, Congress has been primarily democrats for how many years now.

Lilo, I agree with you. Also, read Mrs. Obama's dissertation from Princeton University. According to her classmates, she is extremely racist. The Obamas scare me.

    bogustoo,

Did you catch Glenn Beck today? OMG he was playing Obama snips from when Obama read one of his books for those stupid audio book deals.

Anyhow- I'm leaning towards the idea that the Mrs. isn't the only racist in the family gene pool- if you get my drift. Hearing him talk about reading a book to help him understand why white people hate, and how his grandmother crosses the road 'like a typical white woman' when she sees a black man walking towards her- was about all I needed to hear.

I'm amazed at the number of people who think that "The Messiah Obama" would cure all the world's ills. His economic plan does nothing to create jobs for the millions who have lost theirs. He pays women on his campaign less than the men (McCain pays them more), he believes Iran is "a small country not near nuclear weapons) but is willing to go into African nations militarily and he's a socialist. I pray for our country, to be sure.

BTW, deregulation didn't cause this economic crisis - years of forcing Fannie/Freddie to give mortgages to "disadvantaged" (read - those with an inability to pay their bills) citizens and the refusal to reign them in by Democrats in Congress brought us here. You can't GIVE things to people who have no personal investment in them, and expect a different result.

McCain wasn't my first choice (or hell my second) because I'm a Reaganite, but I think he's proven to be a good leader and the best choice for the Presidency. Obama should have double digit leads in every poll and he still can't seal the deal, if he wins it'll be by squeaking by. That's due to the fact that his support is all from youth voters and voter fraud.

What we don't need is some guy people think is going to magically make them happy telling terrorists, Russians and the "Bolivarians" led by Chavez we're slashing the military and bending over ready to take it in the ass. Barry O will make this country poorer, less safe, and will usher in a new era of extreme corruption ala ACORN.

I can’t wait for the election to be over. I have no clue which candidate I am going for. I will say I like Sarah Palin though.

I hope whoever gets in stablizes the economy. Unfortunetly if its a republican I don’t know how much he can accomplish with a democatic congress. So really a vote for him would net not much being accomplished even if he had lots of good ideas.

Democrats have controlled Congress for years--they could have changed so much, one would think. I'm a Republican, but mostly, I'm tired of two parties who care more about winning and blaming than they do about making hard choices or standing up for the American people. This system of dueling parties will continue to wreak havoc on all major policy issues. We are paralyzed by it. If we can't get past it, sooner or later the whole system of government will implode.

    Hillary had my vote.
I want someone who loves America. I want someone who will protect her and her children.

I agree with Soobs "deregulation didn’t cause this economic crisis - years of forcing Fannie/Freddie to give mortgages to “disadvantaged” (read - those with an inability to pay their bills) citizens and the refusal to reign them in by Democrats in Congress brought us here. I am from Chicago. I have voted Democrat for years. So...as much as I dislike having to vote for a republican...it is for McCain.

I can not vote for someone who is not proud of loving America.

I feel like anyone who votes for another republican has no right to complain about taxes or high gas prices.

McCain insists that Obama is going to just raise taxes. YET, if we let McCain in, tax money will be spent on a pointless and endless war. The government can spend trillions of this tax money to fund the war, but they can't help the needy. Obama is definitely the change we need.

I do not believe in voting for a political party, I believe in voting for the person I reasonably think will do the best job.

Obama is handsome, charming, an excellent public speaker. I would date him in a nano second!

McCain is not handsome, not charming, and he does not have the gift of gab. I would never consider dating this patriot....but I believe he is the best man for the job.

Thank you for allowing me to express my opinion. :-)

I have long been under the opinion that we need to drastiacally restrict our government. McCain is clearly the better choice, given our options. Obama will expand government creating an irreversible government oppression of freedom and prosperity. Most importantly, no one earning less than $100,000 per year should be paying federal income taxes. It contributes nothing to the common good, especially with as much money is wasted on a daily bases by our government. Anyone that claims otherwise is either clueless about economics or is just plain lying. The top priority of the federal government should be to begin eliminating tax brackets from the bottom up and no increases on anyone. The whole soak the "rich" tax mentality is based in nothing more than jealousy and only serves to prey on that ignorance and harm all of us.

And what 'change' does Obama offer? Oh wait....he 'changed' his mind on who he would accept campaign contributions from.....and that DID work out well for him!

    I am voting for Obama/Biden.

I shudder to think of that pit bull with lipstick representing women of america! How absurd. McCain really lost it with that pick.

McCain has done more than his share for our country, but that does not mean he should be president. Just ask his first wife....

McCain and Palin have also fired up the radicals in this country. Very scary.

McCain is full of hot air, and all he has is his war experience to fall back on. And, even with that, he has to stoop to the level that he has in his campaign, with a pit bull by his side. Doesn't have anything else going for him I guess.

Obama stands for change, is for the people, and has the experience to guide him (Biden). We need something new in this country. He has sound plans and can bring us through this crisis, without starting another war.

OMG. Someone wants to mention McCains cohorts? McCains??? Honestly if I was stupid enough to be an Obama supporter- I think I would shy away from the mentioning of ANYONE's cohorts, just to prevent any accidental reminding of Obama's. Let's see Obama has... terrorists, radical Islam, frauds, and hate mongering racists.... honestly- at this point McCain could step forward and declare the Son of Sam his best friend, and he still wouldn't be able to top Obama's last 20 years of interesting friendships.

So let's review.....Obama was associated with Rev. Wright (racist activist), but not now; ACORN (now associated with voter fraud - amongst other things), but not now; William Ayers (domestic terrorist) - but not now. How did such a smart, well educated, experienced man claim not to know these things - until they recently became an issue? Not to mention the corrupt, now convicted politician from his own back yard - who literally got him that back yard..... Hmmmmm. Good thing that running for U.S. President can bring these things to light for a candidate.....you're welcome Obama! Vote for McCain!!!!

Maybe those who are voting for Obama, WANT to live in a socialist country? Because that is exactly what Obama's "plans" for us, are. "Spread the wealth.." Why is it okay to take my money, money I work HARD for, and "redistribute" it to those who don't or won't work just as hard? And please, don't start with the "disadvantaged, didn't get to go to college" crap. I didn't finish college either. And I don't blame it on anyone but myself. A 95% "tax cut" from Obama? More than 45% of the citizens of this country pay NO taxes! Do they get a bigger check? No wonder they want to vote Obama...several times over.

No thanks, I prefer to work hard for what I have, and to KEEP what I have.

John McCain wants to continue the reign of George Bush. John McCain and Barack Obama both want to use the government to legislate their morality upon us. They want to create more laws to govern our behavior and reduce our freedom of speech, our privacy, and destroy civil liberties. John McCain has all the wrong kinds of experience. He's too old to understand the internet. He's too old to understand modern society, how can we expect him to fix it? I don't believe McCain will follow in Bush's footsteps at all. he knows what this country needs and has the experience to do it. A democratic president is that LAST thing this country needs right now. LOOK AT CONGRESS. Dems get control and what happens our economy goes to sh*t. thats not Bush's doing, it wasn't nearly as bad when Reps. had control. And i will bet anything that if Obama was elected Reps WOULD get control of congress again. Do you realize people are taking money OUT of the market just because they are afraid Obama will win?!? No please tell me why he would be a good choice? he was a senator for what 100 days before he started campaigning. that is ridiculous. He is sneaky guy who you can't trust. McCain is a true leader and that is pretty obvious. And i am going to bet he wins this election. the country would be ciaos if obama won. And Palin has more experience then obama. She ran a state, it may be a small one, but it has a huge impact on our country. Obama was senator for a few months. what did he accomplish besides buying a bigger house? And don't even start with McCain's houses. Because it is not his fault his wife is loaded and has so many. he has ONE house in his name. She is the one with the money not him. and i don't think that should matter anyways. besides most of you probably enjoy her companies products ;)

It never ceases to amaze me how every four years we buy into the rhetoric of the presidential candidates. I'll bet that most of them semi-believe what they say they can do or change. Then the winner arrives at the WH, and nothing gets done, because the bigger power resides in congress-and in the lobbyists that control them. At least McCain has crossed party lines and has fought for campaign and lobby reform. Proof of that lies in the disparity of campaign funds. Think about who is going to owe more when elected....and what will/will not get done as a result. McCain '08

I think Trench's points and counterpoints are far more compelling than Trish's. I also can't support Obama because he has spent most of his life with shady characters and organizations and barely distances himself from them just for the sake of potential votes. He still won't say who really paid for his college education: Ask him about Donald Warden, a.k.a. Dr. Khalid Abdullah Tariq al-Mansour (another staunch radical with some really wild connections) and Obama's campaign refuses to answer questions about this at all. Obama will not allow the University to release his records because that will reveal information about this. The media will not touch it because they are slanted towards Obama and know that the voters would certainly not be happy about that connection. I'd rather vote for McCain because he has served his country, I can't vote for Obama because he serves the wrong people, and they are anti-American.

I Like McCain. Most of us are not worthy to even criticize him..which of you would refuse early release from POW camp knowing you would be beaten even more severely??? He is experienced, intelligent, and he will not die during a single term( his mother is still alive).
I think he has stumbled somewhat on the economy, but who has not? Listen to him, and you will see that he is not afraid to take unpopular positions for the good of the country!
I am afraid he will not win and my only good impression of Obama is that he seems to be popular with other countries....I wonder about this , too.
Everone should study the issues and vote their conscience. If you do not know what the issues are perhaps you should stay home!

Palin is the only candidate with real executive experience, having hands on experience running a city and Alaska as Governor. She has high level Security Clearance as Commander of Alaska National Guard in the ONLY State bordering 2 foreign countries. McCain is a true war hero, decorated for his heroism in combat, while Obama chose to avoid military service. McCain'sexperience in government far outweighs Obama's 2 years in the Senate during which time he spent all the time running for President. McCain can be trusted - Obama can not. Obama's connection with racist Wright and with Islamic terrorists disqualify him. There is only one choice McCAIN!

I agree with Paul. I don't care for either candidate personally.... MCAIN's downfall is Palin. OBAMA's downfall is lack of experience. I'm an independent, and will vote for the one that I feel will create less damage.

did you hear what Obama said to joe the plumber? he is not a smart person for that. Plenty of plumbing businesses make well over 250k a year. the company he is purchasing owns several trucks and employees several people. I think it was a bad move on his part because that just shows how much her really cares about the people. he stood there and acted friendly to that man and then talked shit about him later. he needs punched for that.

The Democrats have caused this financial meltdown! During Clinton's years he pressured Fannie Mae into subprime mortgages for the poorer classes to buy houses they couldn't afford! Then Fannie Mae gave campaign donations to Sen. Obama, Dodd and Kerry, even as they were going under. The Democratic Congress has done nothing the past 2 years! Will Obama return the $135,000 from Fannie Mae?

Obama doesn't care about the average citizen. he thinks 250k should be middle class. well thats insane in places like indiana, where the average middle class family makes about 90-120k annually. he isn't a realistic person. he lives in a fantasy world. The USA would be a scary place if he won.

Also, is anyone else worried about the possible voter fraud in Ohio? Voter fraud has been linked to Acorn, which has been linked to Obama. We've seen the results of rigged elections in other countries - and the frightening results. Could we be next?

After debating this early this morning, I've come to realize what my issue is with Socialism.

I'm not rich, but I do alright. Now, if you ARE rich, and you wanna hand out some of your money- I'm more than happy to assist you in doing that by accepting it. But- it's YOUR option. When someone takes that option away from you and DECIDES FOR YOU that it's in the best interest to spread your wealth- that's just stealing.

America's people are slowly growing lazier and lazier- spreading someone else's wealth only reassures us that regardless of how pitiful we become, we'll be rewarded by getting a piece of that rich guy's money. You know, the stupid one that plugs away 16 hours a day to support those who don't grasp the concept of getting a damn job and accomplishing something.
